Orthodontics

Another reason to correct misalignment has to do with maintaining the health of your gums. When your teeth are crooked, it can be very difficult — or even impossible — to properly clean between them. This increases the likelihood that food particles will become trapped in your gums, which inevitably leads to gum disease over time. So while the benefit of a beautifully aligned smile is reason enough to see an orthodontist, there is so much more to be gained by doing so.
Orthodontic Services We Provide

Though not appropriate in cases of severe crowding or when teeth haven't fully erupted, Invisalign is a desirable alternative to braces. To learn more, visit our Invisalign page.
Orthodontics for All Ages
Dr. Scopu is able to effectively correct misalignment in adults as well as children and teenagers. However, treatment times tend to be longer for adults, so whenever possible, it is helpful to begin addressing alignment issues in childhood. Children who show signs of crowding or misalignment should see an orthodontist as early as age 7. Dr. Scopu's gentle demeanor helps our youngest patients feel at ease.
Dr. Ana Scopu is the best! Our whole family goes to her for our dental care and our two daughters also see her for orthodontics. Dr. Scopu is an excellent dentist and explains things to us clearly and thoroughly. We truly feel we are in the best hands we could be in. We are so happy with our care and her attention to detail. We definitely recommend Dr. Scopu and her assistants! — Sherri K.
